Job Summary
UK Healthcare is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to perform accurate diagnostic adult cardiac examinations in accordance with IAC guidelines. The candidate will demonstrate proficiency with ultrasound equipment, possess solid medical terminology knowledge, and understand the cardiac disease process. The role involves performing precise measurements, collecting data for physician interpretation, and maintaining strong computer and customer‑service skills.

Responsibilities

Perform adult cardiac diagnostic exams following IAC guidelines.

Collect and calculate accurate measurements for physician interpretation.

Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment and related computer systems.

Document findings and ensure records are accurate and complete.

Required Qualifications

American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Registered Diagnostic Sonographer or Cardiovascular Credentialing International Registered Cardiac Sonographer within one year of hire.

No prior experience required; however, experience in echocardiography is a plus.

Physical ability to stand or walk, push/pull objects up to 50 lbs, sit at a computer workstation for extended periods, and handle occasional job‑related travel.

Safety awareness regarding exposure to bloodborne/airborne pathogens, hazardous chemicals, radiation, cuts/punctures, and aggressive patients.

Preferred Qualifications

Allied health degree.

Three to four years of related experience.

Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).

Experience performing echocardiograms and stress testing in a patient‑care setting.
