Compressed Air Technician Responsibilities
Processing and completing work orders
Interacting with customers at their physical location on a daily basis
Ordering equipment supplies, repair components, and general items for service
Reading and understanding electrical and wiring diagrams
Installing and repairing various manufactured brands of rotating equipment (air compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers)
Installing aluminum modular piping
Observing and testing newly installed systems
Planned maintenance and troubleshooting of various manufactured brands of rotating equipment (air compressors, vacuum pumps, blowers)
Maintaining truck stock levels
Compressed Air Technician Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Two to three years’ minimum experience as a compressed air technician
Ability to troubleshoot electrical and wiring issues
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and compliance schematics
Advanced mechanical and diagnostic skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions
Physically fit and able to lift heavy equipment
Clean driving record
Travel throughout the state of South Carolina
