Job Summary

The Physician Liaison is responsible for building relationships with physicians, promoting the imaging center(s) and radiology services, conducting sales activities, providing training, and facilitating communication between the center and referring physicians daily. This position requires travel between referral source and clinic on a routine and ongoing basis and may include some after‑hours and/or weekend work.
Essential Job Functions

Build and maintain strategic relationships with physicians, office staff, and internal teams to drive engagement and referral growth.
Analyze market data and trends to inform strategic growth plans and service line initiatives.
Consistently meet or exceed performance targets, leveraging data to develop actionable business strategies.
Conduct regular face‑to‑face visits with physician offices and healthcare facilities to strengthen relationships, assess needs, and promote services.
Effectively manage a target list, ensuring optimal outreach frequency and consistent referral volume growth.
Communicate key service line messages aligned with marketing strategies to increase provider awareness.
Prospect for new business opportunities, utilizing relationship‑building and closing skills to expand market share.
Monitor competitive activity and adapt strategies to address changes in the market.
Ensure accurate and timely CRM entries to document outreach activities, key contacts, and results.
Coordinate logistics for meetings, in‑services, and events, supporting physician engagement and business development efforts.
Maintain reliable attendance and participate in team meetings, training sessions, and organizational initiatives.
Collaborate as a proactive team member, contributing to collective success and addressing challenges as needed.

Physical Environment

Must be able to understand, read, write, and speak English.
Must be able to see and hear with/without accommodations.
Requires repetitive gross/fine motor skills.
Must be able to sit for prolonged periods.
Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
Requirements

Required Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or health‑related field preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience, preferably in the healthcare industry.
Experience with Salesforce or other CRM software preferred.
Knowledge of the healthcare industry and current economic trends and challenges for healthcare systems.
Must possess and maintain a current, valid driver license, proof of current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation for work.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to work independently and manage a local geographic territory, inclusive of 250+/- provider accounts.
Must be coachable and be accountable to a professional development plan developed and supported in collaboration with your manager.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills to influence and build sustainable, effective relationships.
Remains open to ideas and feedback and supports others.
Must have strong time management and organizational skills, and the ability to multitask.

Ability to lead planning and execution of provider account lunches & educational meetings.
Knowledge of computer applications, including information and billing systems, keyboard input, digital archiving, and retrieving of data.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Travel Requirement

Position requires frequent travel, up to 90% in and around assigned territory on a regular basis.
Some additional travel required for annual and/or semi‑annual meetings.
