Heavy Assembler
Location: 225 Talbot Boulevard, Chestertown, MD 21620
Work Hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday
Pay Range: $18 to $20 per hour
The Dixon Group is looking for a Heavy Assembler to join our Dixon Specialty Products division in Chestertown, MD. You will be insulating, armoring, and testing small to large bore hoses. This is your chance to work with large‑scale components, top‑tier tools, and a company that invests in your growth and success.

What You’ll Do
Insulate, armor, and test small and large bore hoses
Assemble heavy machinery components according to specifications and blueprints
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete assembly tasks
Perform quality checks on completed assemblies to ensure functionality and safety
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve assembly challenges
Document assembly processes and report discrepancies or concerns to supervisors
Prepare and package parts for shipment according to company standards
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all company safety protocols and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 2 years of experience in assembly or manufacturing of heavy equipment
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
Proficient with hand and power tools
Able to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
Preferred
Technical certification in a related field
Welding experience (Entry level MIG & TIG welding)
Exposure to sandblasting, grinding wheels, paint booths
