Coil Feed Press Operator

2nd Shift 2:30pm - 1:00am (Monday - Thursday)

Team Leader and Production Manager

General Function:

Blanking parts as specified by Company Customers. Training will be conducted at the press on the job training.

Job Duties

Set up and adjust dies in press; to include loading coil, making lube checks, making gauge thickness checks, help feed coil through the line.

Write tags and communicate with die storage for tool and die transit to die shop.

Communicate all issue with machine, tools and set‑ups working towards continuous improvement.

Program and set‑up coil feed equipment, sensors, flat rolls and coil spindle.

Make quality checks and complete quality check sheets.

Complete all parameters on all set‑ups and create new parameters on new jobs.

Required to achieve production standards.

Verify correct labeling and package part as required by customer.

Safety conscious to include proper use of P.P.E.

Must be willing to work any and all overtime as required.

All other duties as assigned by management.

Working Conditions:

Plant environment, working on and around machinery. Moving and setting large Stamping dies up to 50K lbs.

Physical Component(s):

Standing 7.7 hours, capable of lifting from 10lbs - 40 lbs on a consistent basis to include; pushing, pulling, bending, some stooping and reaching.

Education/Experience:

Experience in set up and operation of large coil feed stamping press a plus. Must be capable of learning to trouble shoot issues with stamping die and press.

Other Requirements

Set-up and tune in dies without help from team lead.

Good Communication Skills, Capable Of Completing Required Paperwork.

Capable of being trained in Lock‑out/Tag‑out, crane and die‑setting.

Capable of driving a tow motor in order to obtain a license.

Excellent attendance.
