Facilities Maintenance Technician
Partner with the best - ensure that the facilities infrastructure and building operations equipment continue to operate safely and effectively, moving toward no unplanned downtime at the Reuter Stokes facility.

Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot, and solve technical issues related to facilities operations.

Monitor the condition of the building's utility systems and general operation of facilities equipment.

Assist senior technicians with projects and day‑to‑day responsibilities.

Perform general labor throughout the facility.

Perform preventive maintenance tasks.

Recommend spare parts to keep on hand that could impact customer commitments.

Participate in any aspect/component of facilities maintenance.

Monitor services provided by outside contractors and ensure EHS policies are followed.

Qualifications

High school diploma.

1-year experience in facilities preventive maintenance (electrical, HVAC, construction, plumbing).

Mechanical aptitude.

Commercial/industrial building maintenance experience (preferred).

Ability to work effectively with various teams and independently.

Off-shift availability, on-call approximately 1 week/month, willingness to work overtime as needed.

Innovative, willingness to learn and think creatively.

Safety conscience, able to advance initiatives/projects where maintenance support is needed.

Self-motivated, directed, willing to learn other trades/skills.

Capable of performing continuous physical labor during a normal workday.

Flexible schedule and willing to train for an "On-call Technician" program.

Preferred Qualifications

AA/AS degree in a technical field.

Certified with Facilities Maintenance.

Knowledge of building codes such as NEC, UBC, NFC, UPC.

Knowledge of facilities aspects: boilers, chillers, refrigeration equipment, pumps, plumbing, construction, painting, electrical switchgear, generators, and natural and propane gas systems.

Demonstrated analytical troubleshooting of mechanical & electrical problems.

Willingness to work as an apprentice technician to senior tradesman (Millwright).

Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Customer-oriented mindset.

Proactive work ethics, creativity, energy.

Welding, machining, carpentry, and plumbing skills required.

General knowledge of most power and hand tools.

Role

This is an on-site Monday to Friday position.
