Summary
The Therapist at Anew Behavioral Health provides therapeutic services to clients of all ages facing behavioral health issues and substance use disorders (SUD). This role involves applying specialized clinical knowledge and advanced counseling skills to conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver effective psychotherapy in office, community, and telehealth settings. The therapist collaborates with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support clients in recovery and ensure holistic care.
Duties And Responsibilities
Conduct assessments and diagnostic interviews for behavioral health and SUD clients.
Develop treatment plans and perform assessment tasks using specialized clinical knowledge.
Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions to address client needs and promote recovery.
Maintain accurate documentation of services, client progress, and treatment outcomes.
Collaborate with clients, families, case managers, and referral sources for comprehensive care.
Participate in care conferences and case reviews to enhance treatment effectiveness and client engagement.
Attend supervision as required.
Ensure compliance with agency, federal, and state confidentiality standards and HIPAA regulations.
Supervision Given
This position does not supervise any staff.
Supervision Received
The therapist reports to the Regional Director of Operations.
Qualifications
Must be licensed to practice in the state of Ohio.
NPI number and Ohio Medicaid ID are preferred and required to start work.
Education
Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is required.
Bachelor’s degree may be accepted with additional licensure and experience.
Certification
Current licensure or provisional licensure in the state used to render services.
Experience
Prior experience in a clinical setting, particularly in behavioral health and SUD counseling, is preferred.
Physical Effort
Primarily requires sitting while conducting therapy sessions, with occasional movement within the office or community setting.
