Essential Duties
Respiratory Therapist PRN is responsible for patients with respiratory and respiratory‑related equipment. The role includes assessment of patient needs, selection, instruction, and troubleshooting of appropriate equipment and service; maintaining proper documentation.

Responsibilities

Receive and document orders for respiratory equipment or services from customer service, patient, caregiver, physician, or family member.

Collect additional information or documentation needed from insurance or physician.

Assess patient needs and determine the best choice of respiratory therapy or services required.

Provide instruction and education on proper use and care of respiratory equipment according to written policies and procedures for the patient, family, and caregiver.

Communicate with the patient’s physician regarding changes in condition or needs and adjust the patient’s Plan of Care accordingly.

Complete patient accounts paperwork, including Plan of Care, treatment, and assessments.

Act as liaison between SuperCare Health and the patient, family, caregiver, and physician.

Assume full responsibility for professional skills, actions, and attitudes.

Follow all policies and procedures as outlined by JCAHO.

Follow up visits for respiratory patients and assist with continuity of care as needed.

Provide 24‑hour on‑call service, seven days a week, as scheduled.

Set up respiratory equipment within the appointment/ETA to ensure patient satisfaction.

Provide services for the marketing department and other departments as necessary.

Demonstrate timeliness, courtesy, sincerity, and patience when dealing with patients.

Support SuperCare Health by reporting concerns and problems to be resolved.

Understand and adhere to all company policies.

Maintain current knowledge of all products.

Maintain a professional, safe, and clean work environment.

Education and/or Work Experience

Graduate from an accredited RT Care Program (licensed RCP).

Experience as a Respiratory Therapist PRN.

Thorough knowledge and skill related to respiratory care field.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

People‑sensitive characteristics with a genuine desire to help others.

Detail oriented.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Employment Requirements

Background check, reference check(s), driving record (if applicable), pre‑employment drug and TB tests.
