Position: Adjunct Faculty, Division: Academic Affairs, Department: Math, Science, and Health Services. FLSA: Exempt. Bargaining Unit: AFA. Pay: Salary $1,097.67 – $1,218.40 Annually; Target Hire Rate $1,097.67 – $1,218.40 Per Contact Hour. Workweek and schedule are dependent upon assigned classes. Salaries are dependent upon education and semesters taught at MCC per the MCC Adjunct Faculty Agreement 24/25.

Division notes include Respiratory Therapy as part of the department focus.

Responsibilities

Teach the assigned class in accordance with the learning objectives and Concourse syllabus using instructional strategies to engage students

Develop and manage working syllabus, course materials, and assignments

Provide feedback and evaluate students\' performance throughout the learning process, including availability for student conferences via College email as needed

Maintain and submit class syllabus, grades, attendance records, and required course-related data

Use educational technology (e.g., course management platform such as Canvas)

Assess student learning and submit required reports of assessment results

Maintain currency in professional field

Work cooperatively within the department, the division, and throughout the College to strive for educational excellence

Qualifications

Course-specific minimum qualifications approved annually by the Board of Trustees and available in Academic Division Offices

Demonstrated teaching experience is preferred

Commitment to the mission of the community college and to teaching and motivating students from diverse backgrounds

Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
