Summary

Administers occupational therapy treatments to patients as delegated by the occupational therapist, such as therapeutic exercises; therapeutic activities; ADL and IADL training; neuromuscular re-education; functional training; modalities; and splinting. Reports problems and/or need to update the goals and plan of care to the supervising occupational therapists. Maintains proper records and reports.
Education

Must have an Associate’s Degree as an Occupational Therapist Assistant from a program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
Licensure/Certification

Must be certified as an Occupational Therapist Assistant, to practice in the state of Indiana, or be eligible for licensure.
Must have a valid state driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
Must have current CPR certification.

Experience

At least one year experience in a clinical setting related to the departmental scope of service provided. In lieu of previous work experience, verification of supervised clinical experience as a Occupational Therapist Assistant.
Other Qualifications

Must be willing to travel within the workday and be willing to make home visits.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
