We are looking for an Ultrasound Technologist (US Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Fort Walton Beach, FL. The right US Tech must have 1 year of experience.
Responsibilities
As a US Tech, you will be responsible for the use of the ultrasound machine, ensuring images are accurate and passed on to physicians for interpretation, and for the preparation and care of patients undergoing ultrasound testing.
Tasks
Educate patients and/or their families regarding procedures performed
Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concern
Prepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with ultrasound procedures and ultrasound‑guided biopsies
Report any abnormalities that require immediate attention to the appropriate medical staff
Maintain sonography equipment and report machinery failure
Conduct scan tests and write reports based on the results
Maintain accurate patient records
Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
Requirements
1 year of experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
ARDMS National Certification (or equivalent)
State‑specific licensing where required
Clear knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
Ability to stand, walk, and bend for long periods
Compensation and Logistics
