
Mental Health Therapist

Petit Psychiatry is seeking a Registered Therapist to join our outpatient team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality psychotherapy services, including individual, family, and group therapy. The ideal candidate brings strong clinical skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, and a genuine commitment to supporting client well‑being. This position offers a
hybrid work model , combining in‑person and virtual sessions.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of client needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
Provide a range of therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive‑behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), family therapy, and other evidence‑based modalities.
Monitor client progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and collaborate with other professionals (e.g., physicians, psychiatrists) as part of the treatment team.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client sessions, progress notes, and treatment plans.
Adhere to ethical and professional standards of practice, including confidentiality and informed consent.
Participate in team meetings, supervision, and continuing education to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Contribute to the development and implementation of new programs and services.
Qualifications
Licensed or eligible for licensure as a [e.g., Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Florida. (near Winter Haven is plus)
At least 1 year of experience providing direct clinical services to individuals, families, or groups.
Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
Experience with a variety of therapeutic modalities, including evidence‑based practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong ethical and professional judgment.
Passion for working with diverse populations and promoting mental health awareness.
Responsibilities
Primarily completing comprehensive initial diagnostic evaluations for children and adults.
Provide psychotherapy and counselling.
Conduct intake assessments for outpatient clinics.
Provide individual and group psychotherapy.
Obtain collateral information regarding patients.
Complete forms and paperwork related to patient care.
Must be willing to be a panel on various insurance; preference will be given to those already credentialed.
Provides timely feedback regarding care, treatment recommendations, and progress of patients.
Completes all paperwork and electronic medical record (EMR) entries associated with the assessment.
Developed and led group therapy.
