Job Description
Buyer Care Specialist embodies our "team player" values, providing an outstanding experience for internal and external customers through various communication channels, helping IAA focus on business and branch growth. The role interacts directly with potential, new, and existing Buyers, delivering a quality experience throughout the Buyer's journey to increase satisfaction and account retention. Responsibilities include serving Buyer inquiries, buyer registration, transaction processing, account access and updates, and resolving Buyer issues in a contact center environment. The Specialist follows up on Buyer cases using the Buyer Relationship Management System to ensure inquiries and requests are handled completely and timely. Support teams must be available during operational hours: Monday‑Friday (6am‑7:30pm CST) and Saturday (8am‑5pm CST).

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of Customer Service Experience

Proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel

Experience in automotive, insurance, and/or rental car industry is a plus

Bi‑lingual English/Spanish skills are a plus

Responsibilities

Provide customer support for all customers, external and internal

Register prospective buyers, verify documents meet IAA requirements and applicable state laws

Set up online access for buyers to participate in online bidding

Review accounts set up at branches to ensure accuracy and compliance with IAA requirements and applicable state laws

Answer customer inquiries via phone, online chat, or e‑mail, and offer resolutions with an objective of "one contact resolution"

Act as liaison between customers and branches

Translate for branches, dispatch centers, and sister companies when called upon to provide language support

Understand IAA procedures and state licensing laws pertaining to buyer registration

Develop thorough knowledge of ASAP to review buyer accounts and stock files and communicate requirements to internal and external customers

Develop working knowledge of the IAA Website and its bidding tools to aid customers in navigating the website, educating them on bidding applications, and maintaining online accounts

Possess thorough knowledge of branch operations to effectively communicate with customers

Minimum Education Required
High School/GED
