IT Transformation Program Manager
Hybrid Role - Richmond, VA (4 days onsite/1 day remote)
Compensation: $60-$80
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Client is seeking a Transformation Program Manager to lead a technology-focused migration initiative, specifically overseeing the transition from Oracle to AWS/Snowflake platforms. This role is responsible for managing and coordinating application migration and rebuild efforts, ensuring alignment with related projects such as CCH and motor vehicle inspection. The Transformation Program Manager will guide a team of Transformation Project Managers, each responsible for specific aspects of the cloud migration, and ensure that project management activities remain focused on strategic objectives rather than administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders, and will play a key role in the implementation of project management tools such as SmartSheet, with a planned rollout in summer 2026. Experience in premise-to-cloud project management is preferred, and an active PMP certification is required per client requirements.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Oversee and manage the Oracle to AWS/Snowflake migration program, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and evolving project scope
Coordinate application migration and rebuild efforts across multiple teams and projects, including integration with CCH and motor vehicle inspection initiatives
Supervise and support Transformation Project Managers, ensuring they focus on core project management responsibilities and not administrative or "worker-bee" tasks
Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, translating complex technical concepts into clear, accessible language for non-technical audiences
Implement and utilize project management tools such as SmartSheet PPM, with a planned implementation in summer 2026
Ensure compliance with Vclient certification requirements, including maintaining active PMP status
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful migration outcomes
Report on program status, deliverables, and outcomes to leadership and stakeholders, providing clear and actionable updates
Adapt to evolving project scope and requirements, maintaining flexibility and proactive communication throughout the migration process
WHAT YOU BRING
Active PMP certification (inactive PMPs will require additional certification by client)
Demonstrated experience managing Oracle to AWS/Snowflake cloud migrations
Strong project management skills with a focus on cloud migration and technology transformation projects
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts in clear, non-technical language to diverse stakeholders
Experience overseeing application migration and rebuild efforts, with a track record of successful project delivery
Proven ability to coordinate and align multiple concurrent projects and initiatives
Familiarity with SmartSheet PPM or similar project management tools, with the ability to support tool implementation and adoption
Preferred experience in premise-to-cloud project management environments
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide and mentor project managers and ensure focus on strategic objectives
Adaptability to evolving project scope and requirements, with proactive problem-solving and risk management abilities
