Overview
Surveillance Officer
The Surveillance Officer’s main function is to provide a friendly and safe environment for guests and team members while protecting company assets.
Responsibilities
Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures
Consistently deliver positive, courteous, and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow employees
Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service
Operate all surveillance equipment and computers
Monitor the activities of the casino floor via the CCTV systems
Ensure compliance with applicable gaming regulations and company policy
Report violations to immediate Surveillance Shift Manager for further investigation
Perform other related duties as assigned
Work a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the operation, including nights and weekends when necessary
Display professional conduct, sound judgment, the highest level of professional integrity, and a strong work ethic
Utilize necessary equipment to identify, record, document and report illegal, suspicious or unusual activities occurring on property
In compliance with N.J.A.C.19:45-1.10(g), any individual employed in this position will sign an acknowledgment of regulatory requirements prior to being employed in the Surveillance Department
No person shall transfer from the Surveillance Department to another department within the company. However, the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement upon being petitioned, may waive the restriction if certain conditions are met
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Knowledge of NJ Division of Gaming Enforcement rules and regulations in addition to a thorough knowledge of casino games and regulations
Previous gaming experience preferred
Previous surveillance experience preferred
Must possess a valid CER or Gaming credential or be eligible to obtain such credentials from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement
Pay Range
USD $20.00 - USD $20.00 /Hr.
Tipped Position
