Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is seeking a dynamic Scrum Master to join our Minotaur software development team and help us drive innovation and efficiency in our projects. You will work in a hybrid environment in our Columbia, MD location.
As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for guiding our software development teams through the Scrum framework and ensuring that all team members are working together effectively. You will facilitate daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning sessions, and retrospectives, and work closely with product owners to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of agile principles and methodologies, as well as experience working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. You will champion the execution of the Scrum framework within their assigned teams. You should be a natural leader who can motivate and inspire team members to achieve their best work, and be comfortable communicating with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Maintain a deep understanding of Agile methodologies and best practices
Facilitate the Scrum process, including sprint planning, daily scrums, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
Continuously seek to improve team processes and workflows
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and objectives
Provide guidance and support team members as needed
Promote transparency and openness in all team interactions
Coach and mentor team members on Agile principles and practices
Help the team identify and address obstacles that may impede progress or success
Monitor and report on team performance and progress
Minimum Qualifications
2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience
Scrum Alliance Certification (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master Certification (SSM), & Scrum Professional Certification (CSP)
Applicable knowledge of Jira
Strong skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
Must be a US citizen and have the ability to obtain a US level secret clearance
Preferred Requirements
Knowledge of numerous documented patterns and techniques for filling the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (i.e. Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)
Physical Requirements
Adequate visual acuity and manual dexterity for meeting the requirements of the Systems Analyst discipline.
