The Role
The Analyst candidate will review, check, accept and organize supplier’s objective quality evidence in accordance with purchase order and procurement specifications to support all make superstructures (CVN, CLB and VCS). The Analyst will manage outsourced projects over an extensive period of time, develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress, and coordinate with team, senior personnel, customers, and suppliers. The Analyst is a prime contact on contracts or projects and coordinates between departments and/or organizations throughout the build process and final delivery.
Responsibilities
• Plan, organize, direct and report on all supplier quality-related activities such as raw materials, packaging materials, GMP service providers, contract manufacturers, and laboratories to assure fulfillment of contract/purchase order requirements.
• Translate engineering, manufacturing, and quality requirements.
• Ensure that customer quality-imposed technical requirements are adhered to by suppliers and that a quality system is maintained.
• Conduct programs designed to improve supplier performance, productivity, and process validation.
• Prepare, maintain and review procurement quality assurance procedures to assure compliance with customer and/or government requirements.
• Review and analyze corrective action reports and purchase orders to reduce and eliminate defects.
• Monitor quality control activities and systems at supplier and subcontractor facilities and maintain feedback loops.
• May administer a certified supplier program or related programs in receiving inspection, audit third‑party manufacturers, due diligence and vendor selection process, and perform deviation investigations into quality issues.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and 3 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 1 year of relevant professional experience.
Equivalent Experience for Minimum Qualifications
NNS Apprentice School graduate
Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
Associate’s Degree or other formal 2‑year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience; or 4 years of relevant non‑exempt experience.
Military Paygrade E‑5 or above military experience.
High School/GED and 4 years combined of manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military experience or other relevant exempt experience.
High School/GED and 8 years combined of manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military experience or other relevant non‑exempt experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
Knowledge of industry practices and drawing/work package interpretation.
Ability to perform fairly complex professional tasks independently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, aptitude to learn, and willingness to read and research.
Ability to multi‑task several projects to ensure production schedule is met.
