$35.00 - $37.00/hourly based on experience

A Day in the Life of the Overnight Manager
In this role, the Overnight Manager oversees warehouse operations during overnight shifts, ensuring the order picking team fulfills orders accurately, efficiently, and on schedule. You’ll supervise staff, monitor productivity, and address operational challenges as they arise. This role plays a key part in maintaining smooth distribution processes and upholding food safety and operational standards for the company.

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage the overnight order picking team of 10 people

Ensure accurate, timely, and efficient order fulfillment

Monitor productivity, workflow, and staffing levels

Operate warehouse equipment as needed

Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS)

Enforce safety, food handling, and company policies

Communicate effectively with team members and management

Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues during the shift

Shifts generally begin between midnight and 2 a.m. on Mondays and between 8–9 p.m. Monday through Thursday nights, with trucks typically departing around 6:30 a.m.

Requirements and Qualifications

Supervisory or lead experience in order picking operations

5+ years of prior experience working overnight shifts

5+ years of hands‑on experience in warehouse operations

Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

Prior experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks and pallet trucks

Familiarity with food safety standards and food distribution environments

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Professional, positive, and empathetic attitude

Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail
