Job Title
Position is responsible for greeting and serving public on telephone, schedules visitation appointments, answer questions and provide information.
Job Duties
Inputs visitation list (Input inmate and visitor data in Jail Inmate Management System). Performs warrant checks through IDACS/NCIC. Distributes list to floors print visitors list daily and delivery to each floor-delete, add legal mail via email. Schedules attorney appointments with public via telephone. Communicates via radio. Confers with superiors and co-workers to discuss work process, plans and or actions to be taken; presents difficult problems and questions. Checks in visitors each session: 6 times daily. Delete, add monitors virtual video visits. Assists other sections with incoming calls from public as required. Performs other related duties of comparable level/type as required. This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities that management may deem necessary from time to time.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED. Ability to use a multiple phone-line system. Ability to successfully input information into computer, perform general clerical and office duties. Ability to operate general office equipment including video visitation terminals, computer, fax machine, and copier machine. Civilian Employees shall have her/his principal place of residence within the boundaries of Marion County within six months of employment.
