Position Summary:
We are seeking
SKILLBRIDGE ELIGIBLE
candidates to join our Information Technology (IT) team!
**Only transitioning military / SkillBridge eligible candidates will be considered for this position.**
We are seeking a skilled
Network Administrator to maintain, configure, and support our organization’s computer networks. The ideal candidate will ensure the reliable operation of network infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and implement security measures to protect data and systems
What You’ll Be Doing:
Install, configure, and maintain network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems to include
Cisco/Firepower/Meraki/Ubiquiti/Trendnet/VeloCloud
Support and administer third-party corporate integrated applications such as
MSO365/Azure/VMWARE/Cisco Call Manager
Implement and manage network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems to include
Crowdstrike/Artic Wolf/Cisco Secure Access
Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability utilizing
Solar Winds
Create and maintain network documentation, including diagrams and configurations
Specify system requirements and design solutions
Collaborate with IT staff and vendors to support infrastructure needs
Maintain current technical expertise in rapidly changing technology environment
Maintain a positive working relationship with all departments and seek out ways to improve their productivity
Upgrade systems with new releases and models as needed
What You’ll Bring:
You are transitioning out of the military and are currently eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge program
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
2-4 years of proven experience in a Network Administrator or similar role
Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
Hands-on experience with the following: Cisco products, Microsoft Active Directory, 365, VMWare, Network Monitoring Tools, DNS, DHCP
Hands-on experience in networking, routing and switching
Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network monitoring tools
Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
Must be able to carry a cell phone and respond promptly to occasional requests for assistance (24/7)
Some occasional travel is required
Must be able to lift and carry computer equipment
Strong customer service skills; ability to interact with internal customers effectively by phone, email, and in person
Ability to work well in a small, collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work nights/weekends/flexible schedule, including participation in on-call rotation schedule
Strong analytic skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
Self-starter that requires minimal supervision and can provide vendor oversight for assigned projects
