Responsibilities
The role involves managing daily tasks supporting design, construction, startup and operations of complex systems, providing expert opinions on Radiation Protection and technical issues and offering guidance to project teams. The candidate will conduct independent reviews, interface with management and clients, develop work standards and supervise senior personnel.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science or equivalent experience related to Radiation Protection.
At least 8 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in Radiation Protection or work planning within a DOE Category 2 nuclear environment.
Prior experience in the U.S. Nuclear Navy, DOE Plutonium facility or strong operations knowledge highly desired.
Leadership, coordination with functional teams and ensuring project goals and standards are met in a high-technology, high-hazard setting.
