Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) is seeking to hire an Electronics/Electrical Engineer. Come join a dynamic team developing custom equipment and other innovative solutions for the Savannah River Site, DOE complex, and National Security missions.

Responsibilities

The selected candidates will work with engineers, scientists, researchers, technical specialists, and other professionals within SRNL to design, test, evaluate and deploy a wide range of custom developed and industry standard electronic hardware.

Perform hands on development of hardware and software through a wide array of embedded system platforms.

Complete tasks autonomously or and mentor early career staff.

Ideal candidates are electrical/electronicengineers capable of developing, designing, fabricating, assembling, testing, evaluating, calibrating, and fielding unique systems, components, and tooling to meet unique technical challenges for end users.

They are expected to deliver results in a safe, responsible, secure, timely, and cost-effective manner.

Candidates need to understand and apply advanced knowledge of standard theories, concepts, principles, techniques, and fundamentals in engineering to achieve innovative solutions.

Candidates should also be able to scope, plan, organize, communicate, estimate, schedule, and perform technical tasks that provide creative technical solutions and address a variety of challenges with guidance, support, and direction from senior professionals.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

BS + 7‑9 yrs of relevant experience or an MS + 6‑8 yrs or a PhD + 5‑7 yrs.

For ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, US Citizenship is LegallyRequired

Preferred Qualifications:

Active DOE Clearance

PhD in relevant engineering field

Security Clearance Information
This position requires the selected candidate to obtain a DOE Security Clearance. BSRA is required by DOE to conduct a pre‑employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history and education verification. Positions with BSRA require applicants to have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q‑level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre‑employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. This list of factors is not exhaustive; pre‑employment information and security clearance requests are reviewed on a case‑by‑case basis.
