
Warehouse Operations Lead

Overview
The Seasonal Warehouse Operations Lead has general responsibility to assist in coordinating and supervising all warehouse activities on a daily basis. Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, this position directs work assignments in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives.
Available Shift
Fri–Sun 6am–6:30pm. This seasonal position runs through the middle of October.
Responsibilities
Work closely with shift leadership to accomplish shift goals
Oversee and coordinate warehouse processes such as receiving, put away, picking, and loading of products.
Direct work assignments to employees
Provide daily hands‑on support in material handling and forklift responsibilities
Drive compliance with safety, quality, and productivity goals in support of warehouse leadership objectives
Brainstorm and suggest new ideas on how to improve processes to supervisor
Communicate professionally, both orally and written, to internal and external partners
Communicate problems, concerns, and ideas to management; assist in finding solutions to problem areas.
Ensure efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment
Train new and current employees on operational SOPs and WIs
Ensure the warehouse is clean and orderly, including organizing and rotating inventory, maintaining product labels, sweeping the warehouse, and assisting in staging orders for delivery
Ensure product is stored safely and in the proper place
Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse
Perform additional duties as assigned by the warehouse supervisor or manager
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required
Experience in a fast‑paced warehouse environment
Experience with Warehouse Management System
Computer applications using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
Good visual acuity to inspect shipments
Ability to input data on the computer to create a daily inventory report
Accuracy in record‑keeping and in sorting, checking, counting, and verifying items received
Strong time management, organizational, planning, and self‑motivation skills
Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) experience or desire to learn MHE
Attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills
