Directs and coordinates purchasing and distribution of raw materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies by performing the following duties:
Responsibilities
Prepares instructions regarding purchasing systems and procedures
Prepares and issues purchase orders and change notices
Maintains purchasing records in compliance with established company policies and procedures
Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and prepares market analysis reports
Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy
Establishes and maintains raw material inventories
Directs preventative maintenance program in conjunction with maintenance personnel
Arranges for disposal of surplus materials
