About the Role
The Electrical Engineer II is responsible for executing complete electrical design activities for control panels and thermal systems. This role supports project execution, documentation, regulatory compliance, and platform development under general supervision. The position partners closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver compliant, cost‑effective system solutions that meet customer requirements.
What You’ll Do
Perform electrical design for standard and custom control panels, including product extensions and standardization initiatives
Author and validate P&IDs, electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, test documentation, manuals, and manufacturing documentation
Interpret customer specifications and develop compliant electrical system solutions
Specify electrical components and instrumentation in alignment with customer requirements, applicable codes, and cost targets
Ensure designs comply with applicable standards and regulations (UL508A, NEC, CE, IEC, ATEX, and hazardous area requirements)
Generate internal cost estimates for control panel assemblies and design with cost optimization in mind
Collaborate with heater designers, product specialists, and account managers to develop optimized system solutions
Support suppliers and/or internal manufacturing teams by resolving technical issues during build and test phases
What You’ll Bring (Required Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
3–5 years of industrial electrical design experience
Experience with power and control panel design
Working knowledge of relevant electrical codes and standards
Ability to interpret technical specifications and produce high‑quality engineering documentation
Proficiency with Solidworks Electrical, EPLAN, or equivalent electrical design tools
Additional Skills That Will Help You Succeed
Knowledge of hazardous area requirements and electrical standards related to control panel design and integration
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
High attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Familiarity with engineering change control processes
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with suppliers, customers, account managers, and internal teams
