A multi-generational manufacturer with over 100 years of continuous operation is adding a manufacturing supervisor to its team. This position opened due to a supervisor retirement. The focus is on floor presence, team accountability, and keeping production moving efficiently day to day.
What the Job Involves
Plan and manage daily production schedules to hit output and delivery targets
Oversee machine setups, changeovers, and mid-shift workflow adjustments
Allocate labor across production lines to maintain efficiency and throughput
Track production metrics and identify areas for improvement in uptime and quality
Support troubleshooting alongside the team to minimize unplanned downtime
Ensure strong start-of-day readiness and adjust priorities as conditions change
Build team flexibility through cross-training initiatives
Maintain consistent floor presence and hold the team accountable to safety and performance standards
Support overtime operations as needed
What They Need
BS, BA, or AAS degree preferred, or equivalent of 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing setting
Mechanically inclined, experience with setups and comfortable in a hands-on production environment
Experience managing daily schedules, changeovers, and workflow priorities
Strong leadership and communication skills
Organized, decisive, and comfortable holding people accountable
