Summary
This position is in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) and may be assigned to any branch. The OCFO is responsible for FSIS financial management, budget performance, improvement activities, audit liaison activities, cost analysis and estimation, and developing investment strategies to support investment program initiatives.
Responsibilities
Support the OCFO in financial management and budget performance.
Conduct audit liaison activities.
Execute cost analysis and estimation activities.
Develop investment strategies supporting program initiatives.
Qualifications
Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement.
Specialized Experience:
At least one year of experience equivalent to GS‑12 level in federal service, including:
Working with colleagues to solve organizational problems in economics, finance, budgets, cost estimation, and research.
Assisting in identifying improvement areas, drafting and refining analyses to meet specific needs.
Developing qualitative and quantitative analyses to validate cost estimates.
Calculating return on investment and cost‑benefit analyses to support strategic and financial planning processes.
Education cannot substitute for experience for the GS‑13 level. Volunteer experience, such as through National Service programs (Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) or other organizations, may be considered for qualifying experience.
