Whistler Partners is partnering with a premier, startup-focused corporate platform seeking a junior associate to join its integrated Venture Capital and M&A practice.
This team advises high-growth, tech-forward companies from formation through exit — working closely with founders, venture capital investors, growth equity sponsors, and public company executives. The practice is known for its deep client trust, startup sensibility, and ability to quarterback complex transactions at every stage of the company lifecycle.

You’ll work with innovative startups, venture funds, and public companies across technology, life sciences, fintech, and emerging sectors. From early-stage financings to strategic exits, this is where companies turn when it’s time to scale or sell.
Integrated Venture + M&A Practice

This is not a siloed seat. One week may involve structuring a Series A; the next could mean supporting a buy-side acquisition or advising a growth equity investor. Associates build cross-disciplinary deal fluency early.

Even junior associates are expected to engage directly with founders, CEOs, investors, and in-house counsel. The partners are highly ranked, deeply collaborative, and invested in associate growth.

Key Responsibilities

Support venture financings across all stages (seed through late‑stage growth)
Assist with buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions
Draft and negotiate definitive and ancillary transaction documents
Conduct due diligence and manage transaction workstreams
Work directly with founders, investors, and in‑house counsel
Collaborate across practice groups on complex transactional matters
Ideal Candidate Profile

JD class years: 2021–2022 (or early 2023 with meaningful deal experience)
Experience at a top-tier law firm or sophisticated boutique in corporate, M&A, startup/venture, or private equity
Strong drafting, diligence, and communication skills
Comfortable operating in fast‑paced transactional environments
Experience with technology or life sciences clients is a strong plus
