Description
Positional overview: Dietary Aide in a long‑term care nursing facility supports meal service operations, including preparation, delivery and sanitation.
Dietary Aide Key Duties
Prepares and/or assists in the preparation of meals, beverages and snacks.
Delivers trays and carts to resident floors and dining rooms.
Assembles resident meal trays and works in the dish room and pot sink.
Sweeps and mops and disposes of trash and recyclables.
Follows proper cleaning techniques for all kitchen equipment and work areas.
Performs other job‑related duties as required.
Dietary Aide Qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
1 year of experience in long‑term care, hospital, or healthcare setting preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
