
PHARMACY TECH (PRN)

Position Summary
Works under direct supervision of the licensed pharmacist and/or Lead Pharmacy Technician are responsible for providing pharmacy services including but not limited to dispensing, nonsterile and sterile compounding, unit dosing, performing inventory control, out dating medications, unit inspections, compliance audits, and maintaining pharmacy records. Major responsibilities of the pharmacy technician will vary depending on the role assigned to he or she designated on their shift.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Prefer previous experience in retail or hospital pharmacy.
Texas Board of Pharmacy registration for Pharmacy Tech required.
Knowledge of basic medical and pharmaceutical terminology, basic pharmacy calculations/equivalents, and basic knowledge of computers required.
