DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This is for an entry-level financial audit position within a professional accounting, financial management, and engineering organization that performs financial audits, management efficiency reviews or audits, and financial and operational analysis. The person in this position has a knowledge of accounting/auditing standards and administrative/technical knowledge and normally functions as a team member in the conduct of audits or reviews of regulated utilities. The types of audits generally include adjustment clause, compliance, operational and management audits, management efficiency investigations, and other projects conducted utilizing established guidelines or audit programs. Performing these duties may require travel, including overnight travel. Other tasks include reviewing annual and interim adjustment clause filings, assisting in the preparation of complex analyses, and preparing written reports, detailing conclusions and recommendations resulting from your reviews.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: Part-time work from home (telework) may be a potential feature of this position. The successful candidate is required to report to the headquarters worksite daily, unless the employee meets eligibility requirements and telework has been approved. Management may discontinue any telework arrangement at any time, for any reason. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office.
    • To be eligible to participate in telework, the employee's alternate (telework) worksite must meet the following requirements:
      • Within a reasonable travel distance of headquarters; and
      • Within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduation from college with a bachelor's degree that includes or is supplemented by a minimum of twenty-four credits in accounting.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.
