THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will plan, coordinate, and administer treatment services and programming, as well as provide consultation to supervisory and counseling staff. Your work will involve evaluating and monitoring treatment programming, participating in program development meetings, and providing training to direct care staff. You will coordinate mental health services by making recommendations for special programming and assisting in treatment plan development. Some of your duties will also include providing individual, family, and group counseling or therapy, as well as attending court or mental health hearings. Additionally, you will prepare written clinical evaluations by conducting a file review, clinical interview, and consulting with program staff.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work Schedule: Four days between Monday - Friday and either Saturday or Sunday, chosen by the selected candidate. Work hours include the following shifts and may change based on operational needs:
    • 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
    • 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
    • 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
    • 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM
  • Overtime and travel as needed
  • Free parking!
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting salary of $67,736.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • A master's degree in a behavioral science, counseling education, rehabilitation, human development or a closely related field.; or
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.


Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
