Duties and Responsibilities
Set up and operate large manual and/or CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders) to machine steel rolls
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
Perform precision machining operations (turning, boring, threading, facing)
Measure and inspect parts to ensure required tolerances and surface finishes
Safely handle and position large workpieces using overhead cranes and rigging
Select and maintain proper tooling, speeds, and feeds for various steel materials
Make machine adjustments and troubleshoot machining issues as needed
Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work area clean and organized
Follow all safety procedures and quality standards in a job shop environment
