Join the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) in this exciting LCB Licensing Technician 1 opportunity in the Bureau of Licensing, Licensing Systems and Program Management Division. In this role, you will answer inquiries from applicants, licensees, attorneys, legislators, other agency staff, and the public via phone, email and in person regarding license application, problem resolution and providing the status on pending applications.
Your responsibilities will include examining, evaluating and approving applications for different types of licenses and permits in accordance with the Liquor Code, its amendments, and the regulations, precedents, and policies established by the Board that govern the manufacture, purchase, transportation, storage, delivery, sale, and consumption of liquor, alcohol, and malt or brewed beverages.
Additionally, strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with a comprehensive understanding of the Liquor Code, which outlines the requirements for different licenses and permits, as well as the relevant Board regulations, precedents, and policies, including all necessary applications, fees, and supporting documentation.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 4 days a week, with 1 day per week in the Northwest Office Building in Harrisburg. This position currently reports to the office on Wednesdays. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years of clerical experience supporting a legal, licensing, or other regulatory program requiring the application of statutes, program policies, or industry regulations, and graduation from high school; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
