
THERAPIST (MA/MSW) PRN

Responsibilities
The Program Therapist performs social service functions to assist patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs, enabling them to access therapeutic treatment skills and achieve emotional health and stability.
Provides basic consultation, teaching, individual and group therapy, family sessions, and crisis intervention services.
Actively participates in providing information and initiating referral services for patients.
Qualifications
Education:
Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or a clinically related mental‑health field.
Experience:
Minimum of one year in a mental‑health field; strong clinical assessment skills; direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment planning; experience documenting services rendered. Preferred psychiatric facility experience.
License:
Must possess a state license at the time of employment, or obtain it within 90 days; proof of licensure required within 90 days. License may be Texas Social Work or clinically related mental‑health license (e.g., LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LMFT).
Additional Requirements:
Handle‑with‑Care training, competencies, flexible hours, overtime for hourly staff, holidays, and weekends; TB test and CPR certification; knowledge of CMS, TJC, TAC, OSHA, state, federal regulations, and hospital policies.
