Apprentice: $28-32/hr

Job Description
Join a family-owned and operated shop that values reliability and skill in its growing team. As a Field Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and installing structural steel, miscellaneous metals, and handrail systems at active construction sites.
Responsibilities
Perform field welding using SMAW (stick welding) with 7018 1/8-inch (3.2 mm) welding rod.
Install structural steel components including columns, bar joists, and metal roof decking.
Install miscellaneous metals such as handrails, guardrails, steel stringer stairs, and mezzanines.
Perform steel framing installations using cranes, including bar joists and metal roof decking.
Conduct rigging and signaling during steel placement.
Operate scissor lifts, cranes, aerial lifts, and other equipment as required.
Utilize hand tools such as spud wrench, adjustable crescent wrench, bull pin, and 8-lb beater (mallet).
Accurately read tape measures to 1/8" and 1/16" increments.
Essential Skills
Welding, Steel Erection, Structural Steel.
Proficiency in SMAW (stick welding) and FCAW (Flux Core Welding).
Ability to interpret blueprints.
Prior experience as a D1.1 Certified Welder on structural steel.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work at heights.
Reliable transportation to shop and field sites.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
Experience working directly with special inspectors.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
