
Plumbing Lead Service Technician

Mark III Construction, Inc. is currently in need of a Lead Service Plumbing Technician in the Sacramento area.
Plumbers will perform tasks associated with the assembly and installation of pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing used for water distribution, wastewater disposal and natural gas. In addition, this employee will provide plumbing maintenance and repair services to commercial and industrial clients.
Responsibilities
Operate as a lead technician on Service jobs and small projects
Support and mentor junior plumbing technicians and team members
Perform site walks and generate estimates (Labor & Materials)
Operate drain cleaning equipment i.e. Snakes, Hydro-Jetter, Descaler and sewer camera
Prepare equipment and tool lists
Diagnose and repair/replace plumbing fixtures (ex: faucets, toilets and urinals, water heaters and instant hot water units)
Diagnose and repair sewage pumps
Solder or pro-press copper pipe
Repair copper, cast-iron, PVC, ABS and galvanized piping
Cut and thread metal pipe
Work from elevated surfaces and ladders
Communicate with dispatch and/or direct supervisor
Follow direct instructions provided by the customer
Take photos and document work performed
Collect customer signatures and documentation
Work on-call shifts
Work weekends as needed
Interpret plans, specifications, and codes
Qualifications
5 years minimum of commercial plumbing experience
Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
Backflow and other trade certifications are a plus, but not required
Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
Willingness to learn new skills
Pays attention to detail
A desire to play a key role within a dynamic team and a hunger for success
Able to build good working relationships with clients
Strong written and communication skills
Customer service oriented
Proficiency with software platforms including iPads/Tablets
Ability to occasionally lift weights in excess of 50 lbs
Must be a self-starter
Professional appearance and demeanor
Have a valid driver's license and clean DMV record
Physical Demands
Required to lift objects weighing up to 25lbs
Required walking for long and short distances, walking from one worksite to another
Required to perform repetitive motion tasks
Required to pull or push using force
Required to stand for sustained periods of time
Required to bend or twist at the neck and torso
Required to crouching, squatting, stooping, kneeling
Required to use and climb ladders to work from heights
Required to use scissor, boom, and other personnel lifts to access the work area
Required to reach above head
Required to reach forward, grab, grasp, pinching, handle material and tools using upper extremities
Required to lift objects from low to high positions in horizontal to vertical motions
Required to talk, express, or exchange detailed, important information by means of verbal communication
Constantly Required to hear sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to hear detailed information and distinguish sounds to avoid hazards
Required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned
