Position Description
Perform a variety of semi-skilled manual duties requiring technical knowledge of welding techniques, tools, equipment, and safety protocols. Carry out welding procedures—including fabrication and assembly—following WN welding procedures and WN engineering drawings. Conduct preventative maintenance of welding machinery and adhere to the general safety plan. Other duties may be assigned by a supervisor. The role is supervised by a supervisor, general foreman, manager, or department head. Work is performed at a quality level consistent with Wabash National standard practice.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Welding of aluminum, carbon, and stainless steel
Cutting with torch
Reading blueprints and drawings
Using tape measure
Working in a specialty vehicle manufacturing environment
Qualifications
Must pass a pre‑employment drug screen
Basic reading, writing, and verbal skills
Knowledge, Training, Skills, and Experience
Experience and education are a plus, but not required. Wabash provides training for all assembler positions. Upon receiving an offer letter, new hires will undergo orientation and several days of training to prepare them for the production floor.

Full range of motion in arms and hands is required. Communicating with coworkers is essential. Assemblers may work in small spaces and lift or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, ability to adjust focus, and good hand‑eye coordination.
