Job Description:

As a Service Technician at Mazda of Columbia, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicles to ensure they operate at peak performance. You will work closely with our team of service advisors and other technicians to deliver exceptional service to our valued customers. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repair on vehicles, including oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations.

Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, and HVAC systems.

Use diagnostic tools and equipment to test vehicle components and systems accurately.

Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding repair timelines and necessary services.

Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including details about problems identified and solutions implemented.

Adhere to safety regulations and standards to ensure a safe working environment.

Keep up to date with advancements in automotive technology and participate in ongoing training provided by Mazda of Columbia.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; automotive technical training or certifications preferred.

Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.

Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles.

Excellent problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Customer-focused attitude with good communication skills.
