NOVA Engineering & Environmental seeks a
Roadway Testing Technician
to perform field and laboratory testing for GDOT roadway construction projects in the
Norcross, GA
metropolitan area. This role reports to NOVA's Transportation department and ensures materials meet GDOT specifications and supports quality assurance efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct acceptance sampling and testing of asphalt, concrete, aggregates, and soils.
Perform density, moisture, and strength tests in the field and lab.
Accurately document and report test results to project managers and clients.
Maintain and calibrate testing equipment per GDOT standards.
Follow safety protocols and GDOT quality control procedures.
Preferred Certifications
GDOT Roadway Testing Technician (RTT)
GDOT Quality Control Technician (QCT)
ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician – Level I
ACI Aggregate Testing Technician
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
