DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will assist with the development, delivery, and monitoring of treatment, training, and related services provided at the center. Your work will include completing designated portions of the Self-Care Assessment and training plans, as well as assisting in the implementation of each individual's support plan. You will also participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team by interacting with other team members to maximize the delivery of active treatment. Another duty will involve recording information in unit records and communicating the information to other members of the team. Additionally, you will provide opportunities of choice for the individuals you work with to encourage growth.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. You will have rotating days off and every third weekend off.
• Travel and overtime as needed
• Free parking!
• Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
• Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $42,521.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Successful completion of the Aide Trainee program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Six months of paid experience in the care, activities, and personal guidance of individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Other Requirements:

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and drug screening.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
  • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
