DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Maintenance Repairman 2 within the Department of Transportation, Engineering District 2 Office, you will employ your manual skills and proficiency in the field to provide for the safety of the traveling public by conducting repairs and maintenance for buildings, grounds, structures, bridges, equipment, and machinery. Specific trades that will be most often used include carpentry, masonry, electrical work, and plumbing. Some examples of assignments involve making repairs to roofs and installing flashing, gutters, and downspouts; repairing doors, door frames, and furniture; fabricating and installing temporary partitions; installing and maintaining plumbing fixtures and drainage systems; and interior and exterior painting. Within this role, you will be required to operate a range of power and hand tools. In order to efficiently complete duties, you must prioritize the safe operation of equipment and use the appropriate tools and methods for each task.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
Special Requirement:
- This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
