Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.

Current Oklahoma Occupational Therapist license, OR eligible for license in Oklahoma and able to practice under the Oklahoma Occupational Therapy Practice Act. Must have completed licensure within 6 months after initial temporary license is issued (must present letter/permit proving eligibility upon hire).

Current BLS or CPR certification upon hire or completion within 30 days required.

Previous relevant experience is preferred.

Must be able to communicate effectively in English (verbal & written).

Only for Occupational Therapists conducting home evaluations

This job may require the incumbent to operate an INTEGRIS‑owned vehicle or a personal vehicle (non‑INTEGRIS‑owned) and must have a current driver’s license from the state of residence, as well as a driving record acceptable to our insurance carrier.

Aquatics Department Only

2 years of experience and aquatic experience preferred.

Must complete Water Safety Certification within 6 months of hire date.

Hand Therapy Department Only

Certified Hand Therapist preferred.

Therapy Resource Pool Only

2 years of experience preferred.

Community Re‑entry Department Only

2 years of experience in inpatient rehabilitation preferred.

Responsibilities

Interpret referrals; examine, evaluate, develop and modify occupational therapy plan of care, including anticipated goals and expected outcomes for patients.

Perform comprehensive physical, psychosocial, and safety assessments of assigned patients as evidenced by clinical documentation.

Coordinate patient care with other clinical team members to ensure optimal care and communication as noted in the clinical record.

Direct Occupational Therapy Assistants to perform specific components of treatment and interventions while remaining responsible for the episode of patient care.

Possibly act as clinical instructor and/or assist with orientation of new employees or volunteers.

Rehab and Mental Health Only

Provide and modify skilled interventions through therapeutic procedures and techniques to produce changes consistent with diagnosis and prognosis.

Initiate appropriate corrective action(s) promptly when an abnormal condition or response is noted.

Provide concise, legible, accurate written reports in a timely manner.

Understand the developmental lifespan of patients, assess, interpret, and provide care in a safe environment according to age‑specific and cultural needs, using evidence and documentation such as tests, direct observation, and demonstration.

Home Health Only

Plan for and provide skilled occupational therapy treatment in the home, reassessing patient status on each visit and ensuring quality of care as documented in the clinical record.

Maintain and submit all required patient documentation in a timely manner in accordance with home health policies and procedures.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Reports to assigned Manager or Director. This position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements. Consult the Physical Demands Project SharePoint site or contact Risk Management/Employee Health for additional information. Employees will encounter moderate exposure to hazardous risks, including potential for exposure to infections, communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, mechanical and electrical equipment, chemicals, and sharp equipment. There is a risk of bodily injury related to lifting and cumulative stress. Exposure to workplace violence (agitated, confused, combative patients, angry family members) may occur. Universal safety precautions must be followed. There are frequent exposures to hydrocollator, oven, stove, microwave, heat gun, grease, tools with sharp edges, and lifting of equipment. Aquatics professionals face frequent exposure to pool chemicals and heat/humidity. Community re‑entry and home evaluation personnel may be exposed to traffic, weather conditions, potential for high stress, accidents, property damage, injury, or death. This role may require working weekends, flex schedules, on‑call status, or floating to other units.
