THE POSITION

Are you a visionary leader who is passionate about clean energy and has what it takes to manage high-level financial projects? The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is excited to welcome an innovative Environmental Group Manager to provide vital support within the Energy Programs Office (EPO). Here, you will oversee programmatic operations of the Pennsylvania Energy Development Authority (PEDA), which is an independent public financing authority empowered to issue grants, loans, and loan guarantees to support the development of clean, advanced energy projects. Apply today to play a pivotal role in helping the Commonwealth to achieve its climate and energy goals!

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Environmental Group Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the PEDA program, including oversight and guidance on the development and implementation of financial assistance programs. Such programs are intended to financially support clean energy and energy efficiency projects, foster research and innovation, and identify gaps in market financing. These financial incentive programs will be consistent with PEDA's Energy Development Plan. Specific technologies supported by this position may include, but are not limited to, wind, solar, fuel cell, energy storage, geothermal, biomass, energy efficiency technologies, combined heat and power, alternative fuel vehicles, and other technologies.

In addition, you will serve as the manager of EPO's financial incentive programs and endeavor to deploy advanced, clean, and alternative energy sources throughout Pennsylvania to further the mission, goals, objectives, and priorities of PEDA and EPO. You must possess a proficiency for reviewing technical analyses of clean energy and energy efficiency projects, as well as possess the ability to perform technical and financial calculations and assumptions to determine prudent expenditures.
