Job Description
Position Summary
Guggenheim is seeking a proactive Executive Assistant to support its Investment Banking Capital Structure Advisory team in New York. Reporting into the Managing Director of Investment Banking Administration, this person will help to support executives in all administrative functions in order to increase the time they dedicate to leadership responsibilities. The ideal candidate must exercise excellent judgment, have exceptional communication skills, demonstrate strong customer service and professionalism, and handle numerous projects and a heavy workflow with a high level of accuracy. The successful candidate will have experience supporting senior level executives and be comfortable interacting with other high-level members of the team and external clients in a fast paced, ever‑changing environment. The Executive Assistant role is located in Chicago 4 days in office and 1 day remote.
Essential Job Functions
Manage clerical, administrative and all business details
Manage incoming calls and direct to appropriate parties
Manage complex calendars across different time zones
Assist in internal and external meetings and conference presentations
Manage travel arrangements and prepare itineraries
Process heavy volume of expense reports
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of DealCloud CRM and Workday preferred but will train
Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication and problem‑solving skills
Strict attention to detail with ability to prioritize issues appropriately
Detail‑oriented and able to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment
Ability and experience in handling confidential information with professionalism
Anticipate needs before they arise and take the initiative to find solutions
Team player, who will approach challenges with optimism and is able to adapt to change
Hands‑on and willing to roll up sleeves to perform any and all responsibilities needed to ensure success
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 plus years executive assistant experience, preferably in financial services
Salary
Annual base salary between $85,000 - $105,000.
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The range listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
