Box Truck Driver
We are seeking a dependable and safety-driven Box Truck Driver to support daily operations by transporting raw materials, manufactured parts, and finished goods between company facilities. This role is a key part of maintaining production flow. When not driving, the role requires operating a forklift and assisting with shipping, receiving, and material movement throughout the plant.
Key Responsibilities
Transportation & Logistics
Operate a company-owned box truck (non-CDL) for local transport between company buildings
Perform pickups and deliveries to vendors and customer locations
Ensure all materials are properly loaded, secured, and protected during transport
Complete delivery documentation accurately (packing slips, bills of lading, etc.)
Material Handling & Forklift Operation
Operate a forklift to move raw materials
Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
Stage materials for production and shipping
Shipping & Receiving Support
Assist with packaging, labeling, and preparing outbound shipments
Verify incoming and outgoing materials against purchase orders, job travelers, and shipping documents
Enter or support transactions in ERP system as needed
Maintain organized and safe staging areas
Equipment & Safety
Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles and forklifts
Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
Report any safety concerns, vehicle issues, or material discrepancies promptly
Qualifications
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Experience driving a box truck or similar vehicle in a business setting
Forklift experience required
Experience in a manufacturing, machining, or industrial environment preferred
Familiarity with shipping/receiving processes and documentation
Basic computer skills; ERP experience is a plus
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
Ability to safely operate warehouse and material handling equipment
Schedule
Full-time, MondayFriday
Day shift: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
Overtime as needed based on production demands
