Job Description

Successful candidates will perform MIG and/or TIG welding in a manufacturing environment.

Work requires the ability to fit and/or weld on jigs & fixtures for all production requirements.

Knowledge of FCAW, GMAW or Aluminum processes is preferred.

Essential Duties

These weld positions will lay out, fit, and weld steel and aluminum fabricated components to manufacture weldments and sub-assemblies utilizing established welding processes:

Welds on medium and/or large fabrications in a jig fixture: fit, weld, fabricate

Welds in multiple positions that include but are not limited to overhead, flat, vertical, and/or horizontal

Properly sets up and adjusts welding equipment to blueprints/drawings and weld procedure specifications

Education Level

Formal education/training in welding needed

Experience

All levels of experience will be considered.

Work requires the ability to interpret blueprints & weld symbols, and fit/weld according to print (including the ability to build weldments from prints).

Successful candidates will be certified through JWF Industries.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to have the ability to concentrate and perform responsibilities by maintaining a constant state of focus and mental alertness. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands (including gripping & grasping) and reach with arms. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk or hear. The employee will frequently walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision requirements such as color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

The employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. There is frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts with occasional exposure to wet and/ or humid conditions and extreme cold or heat. The employee is at risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
