Job Summary
The primary responsibility of the Attendant, Housekeeping (Public Areas) is to provide quality service in all Public Areas (PA) and Heart of House (HOH) spaces. Colleagues in this role must demonstrate genuine concern for guests and colleagues while ensuring friendly, safe, efficient, and professional service.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Exceeds guest expectations of Housekeeping services, being responsible for the cleanliness of PAs and HOH spaces in assigned sections, ensuring that these and all other spaces are cleaned according to One&Only standards
Adheres to the standard operating procedures about cleaning, sanitation, and set-up in PAs, HOH spaces, and other venues, as well as in Laundry and Uniform rooms
Ensures that all scheduled arrival rooms are ready at the time specified
Ensures hallways, corridors, pantries, lockers, elevators, and offices are kept tidy
Ensures carpets are kept clean through daily spotting and vacuuming
Ensures that all equipment is properly cared for, cleaned, and correctly stored to be in good repair
Conducts general and deep cleanings of trolleys, caddies, and toilets
Ensures that linens, towels, and other supplies are distributed to the correct areas and/or to Linen rooms
Ensures supplies, amenities, and linens are replenished
Reports all lost and found items, following related SOP to guarantee proper storage and follow-up
Ensures ice machines and glasswashers are sanitized
Reports flower arrangements that need replacement
Ensures all defects are reported to the Executive Housekeeper immediately
Extends appropriate greetings to all guests and colleagues at every opportunity, using names whenever possible
Adheres to One&Only standards regarding dress, appearance, and grooming
Develops a positive working relationship with all colleagues and other departments, facilitating a team-oriented atmosphere
Maintains safe workplace practices as per the health and safety SOP
Ensures all HOH corridors, fire staircases, changing rooms, and shower areas as per SOP
Adheres to chemical utilization as per the chemical training SOP
Attends training courses as required, continually striving for the improvement of their knowledge and skills
Assists with any other duties as required by the Executive Housekeeper or other members of the management team
Skills, Experience, & Educational Requirements
Previous cleaning experience is an advantage, but is not required
Strong knowledge of all hotel facilities, services, and working hours is preferred
Ability to communicate effectively with guests, co-workers, and managers is required
Must be able to read, write, and speak English with proficiency
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and night shifts is essential

Physical Requirements
The ideal candidate must be able to perform all physical requirements of the job in a safe manner, with or without reasonable accommodation. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:
Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and bending in an operational environment for extended periods
Frequent bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and pulling
Lifting and carrying of loads weighing up to 50 pounds
Working in outdoor environments, including high altitudes, that may present extreme weather conditions such as snow, ice, rain, heat, wind, etc.
