Standby Packagers

Standby Packagers Pay Rate: $15/hour Schedule: Part-Time | On-Call / Standby | Flexible Shifts Locations: Brownstown, MI
About the Role: We are seeking dependable part-time standby employees to join our packaging team! This is a great opportunity for individuals looking for flexible, on-call work perfect for those who want extra hours or a foot in the door for future full-time or scheduled positions.
As a Standby Packager, you'll be on-call to fill in when needed. You may receive a call asking you to report to work the same day or the next day at our Dearborn location.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Assemble and prepare packaging materials such as boxes, crates, and containers.
Inspect packaging for defects including tears, cracks, or dents.
Ensure materials are securely packed to prevent damage during transit.
Stack, palletize, and label materials accurately in accordance with work orders.
Maintain accurate inventory records and review packing lists for completeness.
Adhere to all warehouse safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Must be available to accept same-day or next-day work assignments on an on-call basis.
Ability to stand for extended periods (810 hours) and lift up to 25 pounds.
Must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a warehouse environment.
Must adhere to all safety, attendance, and operational standards.
