Sr. Global Logistics Specialist
Reports to: Director, Logistics
Location: On-site in Oklahoma City, OK or Lodi, NJ
Hours: Monday Friday, 8:00am 5:00pm
About the role: CFS Brands is looking for a detail-driven Sr. Global Logistics Specialist to support international shipping operations and ensure compliance across global supply chain activities. This role is responsible for coordinating ocean and air freight, managing trade compliance, and supporting efficient order execution for international shipments and can be located in either Oklahoma City, OK or Lodi, New Jersey.
You will play a key role in maintaining accurate customs documentation, performing Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications, and supporting cross-border manufacturing operations. This position also serves as a primary point of contact for international air freight customers and collaborates closely with internal teams to ensure accurate product setup, costing, and regulatory adherence.
The salary offered to the selected candidate for this position will depend on location, OK or NJ, along with experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee compliance with steamship carrier contracts, including routing, service performance, and cost management
Coordinate ocean freight and NVOC shipments, working closely with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics providers
Support international order management, including documentation, shipment tracking, and partner coordination
Prepare, review, and maintain customs documentation to ensure compliance with U.S. and international regulations
Perform HTS classifications to support accurate duty application and trade compliance
Partner with engineering, purchasing, and operations teams on item setup, product data, and cost analysis
Conduct maquiladora cost reconciliation for cross-border manufacturing activities
Act as a customer-facing contact for international air freight, providing updates and resolving issues
Prepare key shipping documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin
Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve transportation or customs clearance issues
Maintain accurate records and support reporting on logistics performance metrics
Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance compliance, and reduce transportation costs
Education/Experience:
3+ years of experience in international logistics, freight forwarding, or global supply chain operations
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, or a related field preferred
Hands-on experience with ocean freight, NVOC, and international air shipments
Knowledge of HTS classification, customs processes, and import/export regulations
Familiarity with carrier contracts and global freight rate structures preferred
Experience with maquiladora operations and cross-border logistics is a plus
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across internal teams and external partners
Proficiency in ERP systems, transportation management systems, and Microsoft Excel
